1. Acceptance

By accessing or using https://www.northernstakes.com ("the site"), operated by Northernstakes Media Inc. ("Northernstakes", "we", "us"), you agree to these Terms of Use and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. You must be of legal gambling age in your jurisdiction to use it — 19 or older in Ontario.

2. What Northernstakes is — and is not

Northernstakes is an independent editorial publisher. We review and rank licensed Canadian iGaming operators and publish analysis of the regulated market. To be unambiguous about our role:

• We are not a gambling operator. We do not run casino games, accept wagers, take deposits, or hold player funds.
• We are not a regulator and have no affiliation with the AGCO, iGaming Ontario, the AGLC, or any government body.
• We are not a legal, financial, tax, or professional gambling advisor, and nothing here is professional advice.

Any account you open, money you deposit, or wager you place happens on an operator's own licensed platform, under that operator's terms — not ours.

3. Informational purpose only

All content on the site is provided for general information and entertainment. Our ratings reflect our editorial opinion, formed under our published methodology, and reasonable people may disagree. Gambling involves real financial risk and outcomes are determined by chance; nothing on this site is a promise of winnings or a recommendation to gamble. Always make your own decisions and only play with money you can afford to lose.

4. Editorial independence

Our scores and rankings are set before any commercial conversation and are never sold. We do not raise a rating, change a position, or soften criticism in exchange for a commission, and commission rates are not an input to our scoring. 5. Affiliate disclosure

Northernstakes is reader-supported. Some outbound "Visit" links are affiliate links, and we may earn a commission at no cost to you when you sign up with an operator through them. Where we do not yet have an affiliate agreement, the link points directly to the operator's official site. Outbound operator links carry rel="sponsored nofollow". 6. Accuracy and "as is"

We work hard to be accurate and to cite the public record, but operator products, bonuses, payout times, payment methods, and terms change frequently, and registry and enforcement data can be updated after we publish. The site is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose. Always confirm the current terms on the operator's own site before you deposit or play. If you spot something wrong or out of date, tell us via the contact page and we will review it.

7. Responsible gambling (19+)

This site is for adults only — you must be 19 or older to gamble in Ontario. Gambling should be entertainment, not a way to make money. 8. Acceptable use and intellectual property

You may not scrape, republish, or reproduce substantial portions of the site, misrepresent our ratings, or use the site in any unlawful way or to harm its operation. The Northernstakes name, editorial content, methodology, and design are our intellectual property or used under licence, and remain protected.

9. Third-party links

The site links to operators and external sources. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, products, terms, or privacy practices. A link is not an endorsement beyond what our review text expressly states, and your dealings with any third party are solely between you and them.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Northernstakes and its contributors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages, or for any losses — including gambling losses — arising from your use of, or reliance on, the site or any operator you reach through it. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the maximum extent the law allows. You agree to use the site at your own risk and to indemnify us against claims arising from your misuse of it.

11. Governing law, changes, and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable there. We may update them from time to time; material changes will be reflected in the "last updated" date above, and continued use of the site means you accept the revised terms.
